Accelerating the energy transition in Central Queensland

The Project

The Mount Sugarloaf Wind Farm (the Project) is located 15km south east of Biloela, and 85km west of Gladstone, in the Banana Shire council area in Central Queensland.

The Project has been proposed by Central Queensland Power (CQP). CQP is a renewable energy developer with a portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage projects with a capacity of over 4GW.

CQP is committed to support the renewable energy transition of Central Queensland, securing the future energy needs of the region.

A Greener Future

CQP is committed to preserving the environment and minimising potential impacts throughout the Project's lifespan. By replacing electricity generated from other sources such as fossil fuel power stations, renewable energy can lead to an overall reduction in Queensland’s carbon emissions.
