The Gaangalu Nation People
The Gaangalu Nation People have inhabited the land for millennia, maintaining a deep connection to Country. CQP is committed to supporting their progress and that of the local community. Negotiations for a cultural heritage agreement are in progress with the Gaangalu Nation People to manage and protect their land and culture throughout the project.
Committed to Community
CQP is committed to honest, early and comprehensive engagement with all stakeholders and communities hosting their projects.
Our vision is to create positive and enduring social and economic legacies. Recognising the potential for impacts from projects of this scale, we strive to ensure the community is informed and involved throughout development. Through collaboration, we can direct community benefits to local businesses and services, bolster resilience against climate impacts and support local innovation and manufacturing.
As the Project develops, we will hold information sessions in the surrounding areas of the Project. These events provide the opportunity to provide feedback, and ask questions to learn about the Project in greater detail. Updates will be issued on the website following the events.
